Paul Gilbert
Born in Kent, England, Paul completed an apprentiship in picture framing, and learned the technique of etching.
He practised the craft of picture framing in a gallery in Canterbury, whilst continuing his work as an artist, before settling in France with his wife Sally, and their daughter in 1990.
Since then Paul has continued his work as an artist, and worked recently as a framer in Montpellier.

Sally Appleby (Gilbert)
Born in Cyprus, Sally studied fine art at Winchester in England, later developing her artistic style and exhibiting in the south of England.
Sally married Paul in 1986 and helped him in his work of picture framing, whilst continuing her own artwork.
